Interactive projection & dazzling visual showcases

Wednesday, 20 August 2014

Epson returns to transform the community into instant artists at Aliwal Arts Night Crawl with engaging interactive projection and dazzling visual showcases on Friday, 15 August 2014. Key highlights of the event include the Community Graffiti project at the courtyard of Aliwal.

Artists and members of the public can ‘paint’ virtual graffiti onto a wing of Aliwal Arts Centre’s façade, using their bare fingers and Epson’s EB-595Wi interactive projector. The world's first 3LCD, touch-enabled interactive projector uses infrared technology to detect the movements of fingers.

Young artists from NTU’s School of Art, Design and Media showcased some of their work on the centre’s façade using Epson’s EB-G6550WU, EB-G6050W, and two EB-4750W projectors. This transformed Aliwal Arts Centre into a kaleidoscope of youthful colours.
