One highlight of the ninth edition Esplanade’s da:ns festival is the world premiere Intermezzo  by Singapore Dance Theatre, featuring a triple bill of contemporary works by three choreographers who each lend their unique backgrounds and sensibilities to their pieces. The choreographers are Toru Shimazaki, chief professor of dance at Kobe College, Ma Cong, resident choreographer of Tulsa Ballet, and Christina Chan, dance artist with Frontier Danceland.

Colouring their work with their unique backgrounds and sensibilities, the choreographers harmoniously combine music and movement to stunning effect. Intermezzo is a collaboration between Singapore Dance Theatre and Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay.
