Red Snapper with Soy Based Sweet Sake Sauce

Looking to get your chi chi on while going easy on your pocket? Caffe B’s new affordable lunch set may well be the place for you. Now yuppies and the like can escape the hustle and bustle of their corporate sellout life (okay, I kid) with the delight of a fine dining experience and a hearty meal at only $25++.

Be spoiled by attentive garcons with a starter of their Cherry Tomato Salad, which are served with Japanese Ohba Basil and Baby Leaf and tossed with a Balsamic & Miso dressing. Otherwise, you may choose to go with the chef’s soup of the day, which is made from scratch.

While the options include the Red Snapper with Soy Based Sweet Sake Sauce (above image) and Paccheri Pasta with Prawns and Octopus, what caught my attention was really the juicy Grilled Chicken Roulade in Japanese Brown Sauce. Marinated in herbs and served with a side of their very noteworthy beetroot puree and drizzled with Japanese brown sauce, this dish is done to perfection.

Their to-die-for dessert will absolutely spoil your taste buds rotten. The divine Azuki Chocolate Bar, which is actually a rich bittersweet Chocolate Bar infused with Kirsch Cherry, Almond Flakes and Azuki Red Bean, is drizzled with Raspberry Coulis and topped with Wild Berries.

Once again, this Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant has blended the best of both cultures to serve up an indulgent menu to tickle our fancy – and our taste buds.
