After winning the bid to host 2020 Olympic, Tokyo’s new 80,000 seat stadium, near Yoyogi Park, is set to host the opening and closing ceremonies in addition to football, rugby and other international competitions.

 

Following a 130 billion yen budget cut, the original design from Zaha Hadid’s architectural firm, who had previously designed for the 2012 Olympic in London and upcoming 2020 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, will have to be modified.
