Finally! Free Wi-Fi when you travel in Japan

Most travelers in Japan have difficulty to find good Wi-Fi hotspots in places like cafes or shops and many of them required monthly subscriptions or internet provider’s log-in page in Japanese. The long wait is over! From last Friday, 12 December 2014, tourists are able to access free Wi-Fi services at over 200,000 hotspots across Japan - only for tourists!

 

 

The mobile application 'Travel Japan Wi-Fi', in English, comes with two plans: Basic and Premium account. Basic account user is able to find free Wi-Fi at 60,000 locations such as airport shuttle buses or cafes for up to two week free of charge. For Premium account, user is able to access at over 200,000 hotspots but require a Premium code which can be provided by the alliance corporation such as convenience stores, hamburger shops, restaurants, sightseeing spots, and transportation across Japan, Kyoto, Kobe and other cities.
