Many of us will probably travel from March to April to attend the Cherry Blossom festivals in main island, Japan. Guess where you can attend in January? Yes, Japan’s first cherry blossoms will appear in Yanbaru, the northern part of Okinawa, around the end of January 2015.

 

During this period, there will be several Cherry Blossom festivals across the island that allows you to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. Where?

17 Jan to 1 Feb: 8th Nakijin Gusuku Cherry Blossom Festival (Location: Nakijin Castle Ruins) 

17 Jan to 1 Feb: 37th Motobu Yaedake Cherry Blossom Festival (Yaedake Sakura-no-Mori Park) 
31 Jan to 1 Feb: 53rd Nago Cherry Blossom Festival (Nago Central Park, Nago Castle Ruins, Nago crossroads) 
1 Feb – 9 Feb: 9th Yaese Cherry Blossom Festival (Yaese Park) 
11 Feb – 15 Feb: Naha Cherry Blossom Festival 2015 (Naha City Yogi Park)
