Pay me (back) my KIRIN Beer?

In US, a beer maker, Anheuser-Busch InBev, was made to refund its Americans consumers who had purchased Kirin between 25 October 2009 and 17 December 2014 with proof of purchase.

According to the US website, Law360, two Miami residents had accused the beer maker of misleading consumers into thinking Kirin is imported from Japan and brewed with Japanese ingredients – mainly with the word 'Imported' on the labelling and packaging. However, the brand owned by Japan's Kirin Holdings, is brewed by Anheuser-Busch InBev under contract in the US.

With globalization, it has becoming a way where brand owners work with worldwide beer makers to produce its products to lessen logistic cost and lower their selling price. Over here, labelling or packaging will not stop me from buying a beer I love to drink - Kirin, Asahi, Sapporo, Suntory or even Orion Beer, Kampai!
