The Fox Village in Japan

Unknown to many, there is a Fox village located in Japan's Miyagi Prefecture where visitors can get close to foxes and choose to feed them. The Zao Fox Village, locates at mountains near Shiroishi city, has common Fox and five other rare species such as Gingi Tsuneishi, Blue fox, Platinum fox, Shadow fox, and Cross fox.

 

The Zao Fox village was opened in 1990 and has been attracting local visitors as foxes are believed to bring good luck in Japan. The village can be accessed by a 20-minute drive from JR Shiroishi train station and it takes 2 hours 5 minutes by Shinkansen high-speed train from Tokyo or 30 minute car ride from Sendai to reach this station.
