World’s Largest SUSHI Mosaic

A new Guinness World Record was created for the world's largest sushi mosaic on 31 January 2015 in Fukui Prefecture 福井県, Japan. Measured at 41.99 square metres, 25,823 pieces of sushi was arranged in a matrix side by side with about 200 people participating. Organised by the Young Entrepreneurs group of the Ohno Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Ono City 大野市, the sushi mosaic was made up of mackerel sushi and crab meat nigiri.

 

The last Guinness World Record for the world's largest sushi mosaic, covering an area of 37.57 square metres, was created in 2014 in Hong Kong with more than 100 chefs participating.
