Cat cafes may be a past for now. What have taken Japan by storm are the Owl cafes and one highlight is Fukuro Sabo Owl Café located in the Kokubunji city 国分寺市, Tokyo, a 20 minutes walk from Shinjuku station. Besides being a cafe, Sabo Owl is also a pet shop offering health care, hotel stay, food and accessories, but only for the owls and hawks.

Visitors can enjoy a minimum spending of 500 yen (SGD 5.70) at the café for a cup of coffee or tea to 600 yen for alcohol drinks and foods from 700 yen (SGD 8.00) onwards. Feeding owls are chargeable from 300 yen to 1000 yen, limited to a maximum of 3 minutes, as over petting may causes extreme stress to the birds.

PS: We do not encourage animals abuse, treat all pets as how you will like to be treated.
