The April’s movie pick of the month from Hello! Japan, SING! SALMON SING! うた魂 ♪ is a 2008 Japanese comedy about a school choir competition starring Kaho as Kasumi Ogino and Gori as Hiroshi Kondo, directed by Makoto Tanaka.

Synopsis:

High school girl Kasumi belongs to her school choir and loves to sing. She is elated with joy when her crush, Junichi, approaches her one day and asks for permission to photograph her during a performance. However, when her love rival, Rena, remarked that her face resembled a salmon laying eggs when she is singing, Kasumi lost all will to continue in her passion. It is now up to her friends and teachers to help her find the meaning an courage to return to the stage and sing again.
