Pollen Sake Dinner Featuring Nagai Shuzo

For two evenings this April, POLLEN will be hosting the Nagai Shuzo sake pairing dinner featuring a gastronomic seven-course tasting menu crafted by Executive Chef Colin Buchan. Sake Master Mr. Noriyoshi Nagai who is also the President of the brewery will be present to share more about his sakes.


Located in the Kawaba River Valley of Gunma Prefecture 群馬県, Nagai Shuzo has been crafting small batch sakes since 1886. All sakes presented within this premium Mizubasho range use the finest Yamada Nishiki rice grown in Hyogo Prefecture which is well-known for their superior grade. These Mizubasho sakes are served in some of the World’s finest dining establishments such as El Bulli, a Michelin 3-star restaurant, located in Spain.

At $280++ per pax, the sake pairing dinner include Oysters BBQ Bloody Mary (pairing with Mizubasho Pure), Yellowfin tuna (Mizubasho Junmai Daiginjo Premium & Daiginjo Premium), Swordfish Tom Yam broth (Mizubasho Junmai), Octopus paella (Mizubasho Junmai Ginjo), Seabass, Lobster gazpacho, Iberico (Mizubasho Junmai Daiginjo Vintage 2005) and dessert served with Mizubasho Dessert Sake.
