Located in Osaka, CHOYA first started as a wine-grape grower in 1914 and it began to produce Umeshu, a traditional Japanese ume fruit liqueur, in 1959. Today CHOYA is the No.1 Umeshu making company in the world with the mission of producing the finest Umeshu made from natural ingredients.

Besides the usual Choya Umeshu, another highlight is the Choya Umeshu Sarari さらりとした梅酒 which was launched in 1996. Meaning ‘silky smooth’ in Japanese, Sarari was specially created for those who look forward to enjoy the natural taste of Umeshu yet easy to drink.

Made only from Japanese ume, this Sarari contains 10% alc./vol. and is considerably light and fresh. It is recommended to drink chilled, on the rocks or mixed with juices. Choya Umeshu Sarari, 300ml bottle, is available at major supermarkets.

Choya is distributed by Whistler Wine & Spirits Pte Ltd. Website: www.whistler.com.sg. Tel: +65 67487820.
