Demand for capsule hotels in Japan is growing popular due to rising hotel rates and increasing number of visitors to the country. One highlight is the FIRST CABIN Akihabara in Tokyo where it was recently awarded with "Excellence Authentication" by TripAdvisor.


FIRST CABIN is a chain of capsule hotels across Kyoto, Osaka, and Fukuoka and has 4 branches in Tokyo alone. The hotel provides two kinds of cabins in pursuit of comfort and functionality - Business Class Cabin of 2.5 square metre and First Class Cabin with a capacity of 4.4 square metre.


The Akihabara hotel which opened in June 2013 has a total of 149 cabins and 50 cabins are strictly reserved for female customers. Amenity like face wash, make last joke, lotion, emulsion, cotton are also catered for the ladies too. One night stay at Business Class cabin cost 4,900 yen (approximate SGD 53.00) while the First Class cabin cost 5,900 yen (SGD 64).

FIRST CABIN Akihabara is located at 〒101-0025 3-38, Kandasakumacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; and it can be accessed easily by 4 minute walk from JR Akihabara Station Showa Street or 3 minute walk from Hibiya Line Akihabara Station.
