Katanashi An - Savour Asahi Super Dry

Throughout the month of July, Izakaya hotspot Katanashi’s second outlet at Boon Tat Street helmed by Chef Yuta Yumauchi, will offer a selection of delightful dishes in a five-course beer pairing menu priced at $50++.


As part of Savour Asahi Super Dry dining experience, Katanashi An will showcase a delectable selection of Japanese dishes that complement the flavourful “taste without the aftertaste” of Asahi Super Dry.



The Menu

Appetizer Japanese Masu Cocktail
Cold Dish Beef Tataki with Garlic Teriyaki sauce
Deep Fried Tuna cutlet with homemade wasabi tartar sauce
Hot Dish Ichiyadori with Yuzu Pepper from Fukuoka
Rice Dashi Chazuke Choice of Ume, Spicy Miso, Mentaiko and Takana



Kicking off the well-balanced medley of flavours is a Masu Cocktail of salmon sashimi and ikura served over a delicate cold dashi jelly, best enjoyed with a liberal dash of house-made green tea sea salt.


A tasty Tuna Cutlet served with wasabi tartar sauce sees raw tuna flash fried in high heat to offer the best of both worlds – the fresh taste of sashimi with a crunchy exterior that gives good bite. Also included in this set is a Dashi Chazuke, with a choice of either ume, miso, mentaiko or takana on a mound of steamed rice, doused in a flavourful dashi broth at the table. Condiments of rice crispies, wasabi and pickles, served alongside this dish add depth and texture to this comforting course.


Located at No.1 Boon Tat Street, #01-01, Singapore 069611, the exclusive five-course menu @ Katanashi An includes two pints of draught Asahi Super Dry will be available from 1 to 31 July 2015.
