Sumiya opens at Suntec City

Sumiya, which in literal translation means charcoal (sumi) house (ya), exudes old school Japan with an enthralling touch. Following its successful launch at Orchard Central in July 2013, Sumiya opens its second outlet at Suntec city on June 26, 2015.

 

Sumiya prides itself on selecting quality ingredients grilled over charcoal fire for the most toothsome and original taste. Highlight of the Grand Menu from the Suntec City restaurant includes Singapore first Irori Genshiyaki which is Japan's ancient style of grilling over charcoal flame. Fish on skewers are vertically placed over a charcoal bed (Irori) and grilled slowly. The Grand Menu is specially created by Master Chef Naoki Tsuzuki of the award-winning Kuriya Dining.

Another highlight is the first-in-Singapore circular Sake dispenser where Sumiya offers more than 30 kinds of sake in tasting portions.

 

Sumiya @ Suntec city is located at 3 Temasek Boulevard, North Wing, #03-332/333 Sky Garden and is open for lunch from 11.30am to 3.00pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 10.00pm.
