Rakugo is a 400-year-old traditional Japanese fine art of comic storytelling that started in the Edo Period. As a traditional art form, Rakugo performances are usually limited to a Japanese audience, but it has been attracting non-Japanese audience too.


If you are visiting Tokyo next January 2016 and is a fan of Rakugo master, Shinoharu Tatekawa, this is your opportunity to experience Shinoharu's largest English Rakugo performance in Japan on 21 January 2016 with an expected 200 over guests from different nationalities like Japanese, Expatriates and visiting tourists.


Through these English performances in Tokyo, Shinoharu hopes to show how the traditional art of comic storytelling is something that can be enjoyed by all ages!
