Accordingly Wikipedia, Japonism which derived from the French Japonisme is the influence of Japanese art, fashion and aesthetics on Western culture. The term is used particularly to refer to Japanese influence on European art, especially in impressionism.

In Malaysia, a Japonism concoction was born and created by Andrew Tan, the co-director and bar director, from Hyde at 53M which is a upscale bar and lounge in Kuala Lumpur. Using Hennessy V.S.O.P, Yuzu Mix and sake, his creation married the culture of French and Japanese.
