You may be one of the travellers to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe or in transit that contributed to a historical record high number of foreign passengers on international flights using Kansai International Airport in 2015. Interesting?

The number of non-Japanese passengers last year had topped to 10.01 million for the first time since the airport opened in 1994 while the number of Japanese passengers stood at 6.07 million. This was partial due to the increases in budget airlines services and attractions within the Kansai regions.

For instance, the total number of passengers in November was 1.93 million; a record high for the month in its history and the use by foreign passengers has been very favourable which stood at 890,000. Perhaps, we can look forward to more attractions, offerings and shopping in the region this year!
