For the 11th year now, NUS Centre For the Arts will present NUS Arts Festival, the flagship arts season of the National University of Singapore. This year, there will be over 30 performances – from dance to music to theatre – featuring prominent local and international artists.

One highlight is the award-winning Japanese choreographer, KENTARO!!, who will be premiering his work Island Shelf, a delicate meaningful piece interwoven with narrative and sound with hip hop techniques and his own music and sounds, as part of the double-bill Overdrive III: The Final Chapter.

Born in 1980, KENTARO!! is leader of Tokyo Electrock Stairs and had won many awards including the French Embassy Prize for Young Choreographers in 2008 at the Yokohama Dance Collection and Japan Dance Forum Award in 2010. To watch KENTARO!! Improvisation dance October/2015, click here.
